A SIMPLIFICATION OF FILTER PRESS MANUFACTURE CAN BE ENVISAGED :-

• Varying the number of filtration cycles ( instead of varying filter plate size or the number of filter plates )

• Replacing the multitude of filter press sizes

• producing filter cake final dry solids semi continuously

• replacing single large Filter presses with multiple smaller units

A STANDARD economically priced  SHORT FILTER PRESS consisting of :

                   1000 mm square filter plates  (small, fewer at c. £1000 each)

                    Fixed  Short length Sidebar, and Drip trays,  Photo-electrics etc    

                    10 or 12 CHAMBERS

                    5 or 8mm cake thickness

                    No Plate Shift Mechanism, to be replaced by patented positive cake removal

                    80 - 90 % final dry solids    

                   100 - 300 psi Filtration pressure

                   Cycling every 20 minutes or so

                   Vary the number of cycles rather than plate size and number of plates

                    Replacing the multitude of filter press sizes  ( 800mm to 2200mm )     

                    Producing cake semi -  continuously

                   Multiple units where needed because of the economic price

                     ( e.g.  4 off 1000mm X 1000mm  instead of 1 off 2000mm X 2000mm )
